A curated list of our most loved bespoke furniture projects over the last year. Which is your favourite?
As we settle into the rhythm of the new year, it’s always a pleasure to reflect on the work undertaken by our maker community during the prior year. We are fortunate to play a role in helping people bring their ideas to life by connecting them with amazing local makers and artisans.
Our goal is to inspire your stories – to help transform wild ideas into masterpieces rich in sentiment, creations you’ll cherish for life and bequeath to your children, and your children’s children.
Without further ado, here’s an insight into some of our favourite client bespoke furniture projects delivered during 2022…
Clayton Table & June Chairs
by Jeremy from JD Lee Furniture in Byron Region, NSW
Exquisite dining room suite in American Walnut and traditional woven Danish cord seats.

Cocktail Cabinet
by Tim Noone Furniture in Marrickville, NSW
Inspired by an antique family-owned piece, our client sought a fine furniture designer-maker to design and create a contemporary interpretation of the highest quality. His choice of Tim Noone Furniture as the one to deliver on that vision was clearly an inspired decision. Made in Tasmanian Myrtle.
Superb attention to detail, inspirational design ideas and excellent craftsmanship and knowledge of wood.
Michael, Sydney

Resolution Desk
by Rolf Barfoed in Canberra, ACT
Designed in response to a brief from our client, Jack, as “an homage to the Resolute desk, my time working in politics and the desk being a location to solve problems and achieve outcomes.”
Genuine pleasure to work with Rolf on my project. He is a true craftsman and I’m so stoked with the outcome of the project.
Jack, Sydney

Arched Door Cabinet
by Sebastian Wood in Concord, NSW
Designed by Sebastian in response to a series of inspiration images provided by the client. Made from American Cherry timber, both solid and veneer. The end result looks exquisite.

Library Table
by Reuben Daniel in Blue Mountains, NSW
Library table for the recently opened @chaletsblackheath, based in the Blue Mountains. We were pleased to connect them with Reuben who is also local to the area, who designed and made this beautiful piece from NSW Blackbutt.

Cabarita Rd Dining Table
by Nathan Day Design in Vasse, WA
This incredible piece is made in American Walnut and measures a significant 3.9m long. Delivered all the way from WA to Avalon in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Dining Chairs
by Elliot at Studio Elliot in Marrickville, NSW
Dining chairs made to match an existing dining set the client had brought with them from the UK many years prior. They searched high and low for complimentary options and Elliot took on the challenge of designing and creating these beautifully crafted chairs in American Walnut.

Walnut Dining Table
by James May in Northern Beaches, NSW
Another Walnut beauty. Gorgeous, simple and minimalist dining table, built to last.

Blackwood Dining Chairs
by Evan Dunstone in Northern Beaches, NSW
These chairs were designed by Evan in response to a client’s very particular and unique needs relating to severe back and neck issues. If you know of Evan from Dunstone Design, you’ll agree that he’s the perfect chairmaker for such a task given his deep expertise and unrelenting focus on detail. Evan produced a mockup chair for the client to test and provide an opportunity for tweaks and improvements to form and function. It’s a design it’s perfectly tailored to the needs and taste of this happy customer and that’s what it’s all about.
My chairs are truly things of beauty and excellent function
Ross, Sydney

Brass, Travertine and Timber Dining Table
by Ben Percy in Northern Beaches, NSW
SNEAK PEEK. We haven’t yet got photos of this magnificent table, although this Insta reel from Ben Percy provides a window into its installation prior to Christmas. Incorporating travertine and brass, we’re excited to see the finished piece in all its glory. Designed by the talented team at Five Foot One Design. Hopefully we can add some more photos soon.
And so many more…
